- Foundation Search America Please speak with a librarian for access to this tool, which must be used in the library. This tool searches private foundations.
- Big Database OnlinePlease see a librarian for access to this database, which must be used in the library. This is a variant of Foundation Search America. It searches both a subset of private and government funding sources, but it does not have the same saving capabilities.
- Grants.govSource for federal grants.

- Social Sciences Research Council - Fellowships and GrantsA variety of grant opportunities for scholars at all levels. Most focus on international subject areas.
- Michigan State Library - Social Sciences GrantsA regularly updated list of funding sources in the social sciences. A mixture of research and student sources.
- Russell Sage Foundation"The Russell Sage Foundation is the principal American foundation devoted exclusively to research in the social sciences." Projects focus on Future of Work, Immigration, Cultural Contact, Social Inequality and Behavioral Economics.
