ENGL 280 American Literature I - Dykstra: Finding Books

Other Catalogs

If you are unable to locate the resource you need through MeLCat, there are other catalogs you can use to order books and media.

HopeCAT - Search the Library Catalog

When fleshing out the literature by and about an author, there are a couple of ways to approach this.

Searching

Example Keyword Search:     hemingway criticism

  • From results list, find a title that looks good – click on it!
  • Notice where your “keywords” appear in the record (they will be in RED)
  • Take note of the SUBJECTS listed near the bottom of the record
  • Clicking on the subject links will take you to another page of related subjects and thus, similar items in the library
