Germanic Studies: Books and Media

Library call numbers for German and Germanic materials

One way to navigate the library and its print materials is by using the Library of Congress Call numbers.  Every book in the library has a specific call number, which is like the address as to where the book is located in the library.

Additionally, every call number is associated with a specific subject, for example, here are some call numbers that relate to German/Germanic studies:

DB: Austria, Lichtenstein, Hungary, Czech Republic, etc. (4th floor)

DD: Germany (4th floor)

DQ: Switzerland (4th floor)

PT: Germanic Literature (lower level)

PD-PF: Germanic languages (lower level)
