PRIMO is "a great place to start your research." It is our main library search tool, and it will search and retrieve results from magazines, newspapers, books, electronic books, scholarly articles and journals, and more!
Here's a link to PRIMO's Advanced Search you can use. Otherwise, there's an embedded PRIMO search tool in the box below that you can also use.
Did you know you have a library/PRIMO account? Well you do! The screenshots below show you where to login (using your normal Hope email account details), and what some of your options are within your account.
Once you are logged in you can see what you have checked out, request that your book loan be renewed, and more!

There are many ways to search for articles (and to search for Peer Reviewed/Scholarly articles) in PRIMO. The following screenshots should give you some options and ideas!
Work together with a partner (or small group) and practice using PRIMO with at least 1 of these prompts. We will discuss as a group once we're finished.
PRIMO Prompt 1: Do some PRIMO searches with keywords related to the topic/thesis statement that you plan on using for your research assignment in this class.
PRIMO Prompt 2: Do some PRIMO searches with keywords related to this topic/thesis statement:
I want to better understand how animals (probably elephants or maybe cats or maybe insects) communicate with one another through either sounds, smells, or touch.
PRIMO Prompt 3: Do some PRIMO searches with keywords relating to a previous topic/thesis statement that you have used for a previous research assignment or something you'd like to learn more about.
