If you need journal articles, use one or more databases to identify articles on your topic. Once you select a database, you will have to log in with the Brain Institute username and password.

The ERIC database is the primary database in the field of education. Many articles as well as ERIC documents are available online.

PsycINFO provides comprehensive indexing and abstracts of the international psychological literature from the 1800s to the present.

You can determine if we own a particular journal by searching for the journal title in our journals list.

If you are looking for books and other materials owned by  Hope College Libraries, use HopeCat.  If we do not have what you are looking for, check out MeLCat to search for materials in Michigan libraries statewide.  Once you request an item in MelCat, it is delivered to the Van Wylen Library.  Check with your local public library to see if they are also a MeL library as it may be more convenient for you to pick up items there.

EasyBib is an easy-to-use source citation tool for fomating citations in APA, MLA, or Chicago Style.

If you need help from a Research Librarian at the Van Wylen Library, send email to ask-a-librarian or call 616-395-7904.
