Source Sleuthing and Getting Started

So how do I find those scholarly sources more directly? (i.e., faster?)

One way to start is to look at reference (also called tertiary) sources.

Our "Online Reference Shelf" is an alternative to a basic Google search or Wikipedia glance-through—except the information has been vetted!

Try Credo Reference Center or Gale eBooks when you're looking for general information about a topic or trying to find context for a more specific research interest.
